Monochromatic - Sepia

Love Sepia as much as I love Black and White.  I guess it all boils down to having a great admiration in everything that is Vintage.  Here is a card I made for my DFIL and hoping he likes it.

You can use all E50 and all E30 for your Sepia coloring.  The above card was colored using all E30's. I actually made two sets and with all honesty, I love the E30's better than the E50's.

         Coloring: Copic Markers - all E30's
         Embellishment: Prima flowers from recent project, grossgrain ribbon, button, twine

Darling Daughter

PINK! Pink is the color of the day.  Thus, Here is a pink scrapbook page I made for my daughter Ella.   She loves everything in pink and purple.  Hubby says that pink is nice for little girls and should be surrounded with lots of pink.  Pink that is!  And that is exactly what I did with this page.  I highlighted the pictures using handmade pink flowers. Crafter's are rediscovering dies and punches again and making paper roses and flowers as embellishment with papercrafting projects.
Pink is not really my color but I think I made justice with this page.  Not bad for somebody who doesn't even like pink huh! :-)...

Happy Father's Day

The last couple days I made some scrapbook layouts again using my Cricut Expression machine and a bunch of cartridges. One of the LO I made was dedicated to the Best Daddy, the Best DH and the Best Spoiler in the whole wide world...

Last night I also made cards for my kids to give to their Daddy in celebration of Father's Day. The images were their own choice. When my son Jackie saw the cards, he told me, "Mom they are so nice. They're beautiful..." Being awake all night, I guess already paid off.

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's out there. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday to celebrate this special day.

This is a scrapbook page I made yesterday for my sister's niece Chloe. She just celebrated her birthday the other day and thought of making a LO for her. Again I used my Cricut expression machine and carts (Forever Young and Gypsy Font)...

My Recent Scrapbook LO's

Couple days ago, I've been looking at the scrapbook pages I did in the past and yikes, I find the style too old and completely out of my taste. I wish I could redo them all again but DH disagreed with me. He said that it should remain the way it was so in the future when I look at them again, it would show how the evolution of scrapbooking starts in my life. He said it will show me and remind me how I was as a newbie. He says that in a couple years more, these new batches that I made will be considered out of style again. I guess he's right so I rest my case...

For the last two years I've been so hooked doing cardmaking and stamping because I get the instant gratification. I don't know about you, but normally, it would take me one whole night to finish up a scrapbook page. With cardmaking, I could come up as many as 8cards in one night, depending on the technique used. When I scrap, I just simply won't stop until I'm satisfied and that could mean days... I wonder if there are crafter's like me. Well, let's blame it on the OCDness.

The Cricut family in my craft room is really getting bigger. I have to give myself justification why I keep on buying the cartridges. In my last posting, I made a bunch of cards that solely made out of die-cuts and I used nothing but Cricut and cartridges. The last two nights, I was working on these three scrapbook pages using my Cricut machine and a bunch of cartridges (Forever Young, Storybook, Stone Script, Cindy Loo & Nursery Rhymes). I am so pleased with my work and I wonder if I could say the same thing in couple years...

Another Everyday card

This is another everyday card I made yesterday. I spent all night doing several technique's in this card only to get ruined by some cute little rascal in my house (I'm referring to Wacky Wabbit Jackie).

Here are my latest card creations using Tim Holtz embossing folders, Tim Holtz distressed inks and Tim Holtz ink blending tool. Then I added some ribbons, bottons, and twines as embellishments. The goal is to showcase Tim Holtz embossing folders designs without too many elements.

In My Life

This song by Bette Midler have a very special place in my heart.  I mostly dedicate it to some people who are and were (past tense) dear to me.  Most of the people we know in our lives will come and go.  And as much as we tried to keep them, circumstances, changes and some events in our lives will make it so impossible to form a lasting relationship.  But true friendship doesn't end.  There are no goodbye's, no farewell's because the love and the memories will always be in our hearts and minds.

To Kathy, I tried to look for you so many times.  I missed you.  You are one dear friend who will always remain in my heart no matter where I go, no matter what happen.  I wished there will be another time, another chance to be with you and catch up on our lives.  I miss you so much, friend.

I made this scrapbook page for you Sweetie.  I have kept these pictures and even brought here in the States, because I have the notion that I will never have another chance to see you again.  But I was wrong, you found me in FB.  You are a gift from God and I will always be thankful for you.
