When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Do you spend alot on a flower arrangments at a craft stores?

Are you one of those who buys flower arrangement at a craft store or at craft show?  Not me!  Yeah, even with a 50% off coupons.  I love making mine.  I am a fan of Becky Higgins and a follower of her blog/FB and she inspire me to do mine.  I made one fruit centerpiece for our dining table while I made two flower arrangements as added touch to our living room downstairs.  I am so pleased with this project.

Wanna hear a funny story?  Couple nights after I made this projects, I was busy cleaning up my kids bedroom.  Then, my daughter came up to me telling me she's sick.  She was sneezing pretty bad plus a runny nose and I thought she was coming down with summer colds or flu.  I went to see hubby at the bedroom asking if there is anyone at work that he might have contacted with colds or flu.  Hubby says no.  I was wondering why would my daughter get sick out of the blue.  To make the story short,  she kept on sneezing, gave her a diaper cloth to cover her mouth when she sneeze.  I was just finishing up and was planning to give her meds when I got done.  All of a sudden,  she sneezed pretty hard and something came out.  I was shocked to see a piece of of my silk flower came out of her nose.  I asked her how the heck did that thing ended up in her nose.  I only got a shrug as an answer.  Funny yet scary for a Mom...

Word of the Day

Picture!
That's a new word that I heard from my baby boy.  A perfect word: Picture!

Shy yet very wacky and that's my Jacky!

A special dinner for a special loving husband.

I've been anxious, tensed and edgy about the closing of the house.  PMS was an added factor, so to channel some energy, I made a special dinner last night for my dear husband.  Dinner was consist of turkey meatloaf, boiled red potatoes, green beans and onion/peppers/artichoke salad.  Everybody was happy.  Actually Ed really hates artichoke. While I was working in the kitchen, he kept on saying "I won't eat it.  I won't eat it." But he knows one of my golden rule in the house.  Everybody eats what's on the table, regardless if they hate it.  Just look at the salad.  Doesn't that look yummy!?

DH was so surprise that it actually taste good than what he thought.
There was actually a time in his life that he ate an artichoke and it tasted like furniture polish.  Since then, he made a promised to himself not to eat the food for the rest of his life.  Now, he rediscovered it because of me.  I told him that artichoke is one of the food that is so rich in antioxidant and is good for somebody who has an arthritis.  This evening, he actually didn't complain when I said I'm making him a baon (a Tagalog term for food you take to work or at school) of sandwich and the onion/pepper/artichoke salad.
Here's a pic of the meal last night:

Too bad, we don't have serving dishes in this house.  But who cares, right!?  Everybody says the dinner was excellent...

Gee, I can't even bake the turkey meatloaf in a baking dishes.  I instead used foil and I even forgot to open the foil so the meatloaf could at least brown on the top.  Hey, it was getting late then so I have to hurry up or there will be three starving and screaming maniacs in my house.

Crafter's in Training

CreativeXpress had a special sale going on for Cuttlebug couple weeks ago.  Thus, I took the chance to get my kids the Cuttlekids machine and a bunch of dies for almost next to nothing.  They were very excited and hopefully, they won't ruin it right away :-).

Ella hogging the machine...

Go, go, go baby girl! Soon enough you'll be asking me if you can have my personal Cricut machine...

Jackie showing off the images that Ate Ella had cut using their machine.

Ella handles the cutting like a pro.  She immediately knows by heart the sequence for plate,
paper and dies...

Ella being very careful in taking out the cut shape/image.

The following day, Dada went to Walmart and grabbed his kids a bunch of construction paper and couple glues.  When he came home that night, Ella handed him her very first handmade card.  It says thanks Dada in the front while the inside the message goes like this "thank you for being always a good and safe driver. we love you so much... love, ella and jackie."
Your penmanship may not still be very good Baby Girl but just know that Daddy appreciates what a good job you've done.  We love you Sweetheart...

Chuck E. Cheese: An overdue promise

Going to Chuck E. Cheese's was an an overdue promise to the kids.  We've been telling them that we will take them back there once Daddy got a job.  But there's just too many things that's been going on and there was practically no time to go there.  So last Monday I took the effort of getting up early to iron a two week amount of work clothes for Ed ( the joy of being civilian), ate lunch and we're off to the door by noon.

Agenda was to go to Ashley Furniture store first to check on prices then treat the kids to Chuck E. Cheese.  If its not too late then we'll probably make it to Sam's.  We only spent an hour or so at Chuck E. Cheese's  because there was just too many people. Ed knows that it freaks me out to expose the kids to alot of people especially with the H1N1 scare going on.  Ella didn't seem to enjoy the trip.  She couldn't seemed to find the right game that she wants because of limited choices due to a big crowd there.  Then, we run out of tokens; and there was a long line at the counter, so we decided to leave.  I must admit that Jackie really enjoyed the basketball.  Next time we go there, he and Daddy will just gonna hog the area.  Ed was very disappointed at the place.  Parents shouldn't be allowed to play as long as they want while a little kid waits for them to get done.  That really sucks...

Here are some photo shots of  Ella while at Chuck E. Cheese's:

Hopefully, Ed schedule will work out good next week.  Maybe we'll be able to take the kids back to the place on a week day to avoid crowd.

My Little Girl, Ella

She is independent, perfectionist, smart, pretty, good-dresser and very loving kid.  She is growing like weeds and will be turning five this coming February.  Time flies so fast and I couldn't believe how she'd grown up to be this big.  Made me feel sad yesterday while looking at her first baby picture at the hospital where she was born.  Our child is never ours, they are simply lend to us by God and without our notice they will big enough to make decisions for themselves.  I love you always my baby girl, Ella...

You're just having holiday blues Mom!

You be good so Santa will come to your house and bring you presents...

My baby boy Jackie is sick

Baby boy Jackie is sick since Christmas eve.  He's been running a fever and I've been keeping a close eye on him.  If this continues until tomorrow, then I have to get him check immediately.  Yesterday, late afternoon, he was running really high temperature so I gave him a cold shower and he screamed out of his lungs.  He didn't like a bit of it but the old trick still works.  He slept the whole night but still has a slight temperature. I been giving him Tylenol syrup round the clock.  No signs of cold or cough, which is good.  When he woke up this morning, he seemed to be back to his old self - jumping, dancing, playing, cutting-up, watching TV, eating and drinking his dede.  He didn't do any of this yesterday.  There is no way that you can agitate him and his color is back.  Hope he's alot better now.  I don't like the idea that we're gonna be on the road and he's sick.  Or should I say, I don't like anybody in this family to be sicked, plain and simple...
