When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Crashed, wet and missing...

Finally, our HHG made it here and although some of our stuff got crashed, wet and missing, we still got most of it. I got my sewing machine, E2, 12 X 12 papers and among other things literally soaking wet...

Not a good sight huh!?
See the mist?
I haven't tried turning the machines on.  I'm giving them time to completely dry.
My sugar pourer I bought that supposedly for storing my baker's twine, 6 of them all broken. Now I don't have enough since I can't afford to buy them at $4/piece locally VS $1 in the States.

I still very hopeful that my machines are still working.  Wish me luck! As for storage, I have to make due of what very little I have right now.  I can't be buying stuff that I will end up throwing when it comes time to leave.

Got it today....

Yeah, got today the second box that DH sent.  First big box still hasn't shown up.  The box we got today is  full of candies, cookies, cakes and yeah 2 big jars of Vicks Vaporub.  Goodies are great but the cards are the ones that I mostly waited for.  I always love to read my DH sweet nothings.  Yeah, I know I sound like a teenage girl, what can I say, I'm still madly in love with him.  I'm sure he's pouring out his love for me in that card.  I miss the guy :-(.... I really need it right now, so I can calm me down.  Sorry, just pouring out.  Holiday is really bumming us out...

Boxes didn't make it to the PO today but kids and I will be out early tomorrow.  Now, let me get back to doing the JUGS new challenge, "Stained Glass Technique".  Just wasted a good quality acetate...  Now let me get back to doing that...

Cya!

Cricut Imagine & Gypsy Update Frustration

I need to stay away from these machines... I'm really getting mad and frustrated.  I've been sitting in my craft table for 3 hours now doing updates on my Gypsy.  I haven't done my Imagine yet.  I hope I'm not going to do this all night long.  I hope PC are making sure that any existing update problems will be resolved pretty soon.  People are really getting mad over this.

I rather do crafting.  But how can I do that when my machines are not working properly.  Hope you ladies are not having the same problems as I am.

Health Update

I don't feel well today. Symptoms last night and up to now are pretty bad. Glad that I'm getting refills of my prescription today. I can't cook, can't do much since I got up. Watching TFC though was helping a bit while trying to finish coloring the SWAK images. I am making this set of cards with the intention of giving it as a gift to a dear sweet friend. I hope I can finish it up soon.

Gotta go for now...

Waiting patiently...

I'm patiently waiting... Although I must admit that looking at the windows everytime a vehicle would stop in front of the house is a real breath stopper. Funny, our front has a stop sign so every one who passes our street has to stop. Can you imagine now how many times I've looked since I got up this morning? Wink** Wink** I'm really excited and nervous so in between staring at the window and watching TFC, I'm taking  5seconds nap... Ha-ha! I wanted to see the UPS and USPS men right now! I won't stop and calm down until I can see you guys...

I guess we can't go out today to get the eyeglasses since both hubby and I went to bed late this morning. We really need to get our eyeglasses before the end of the month or else it would be another lost opportunity. Got another doctor's appointment on Thursday but I would cancel if I'm not feeling all that great. The nurse of our primary care physician still hasn't contacted the hospital for my supposedly thyroid echogram and x-ray. Wonder if she forgot she's suppose to do that...

Got a slight shaking today. Still very tired from the cleaning job I did yesterday and also got PMS to top it all. So cleaning the bathrooms and doing the laundry is out of the question. Sistah is still watching my DBIL and the damn hospital still couldn't figure out what the heck is wrong with him. They're using up a good amount of money in the hosp for nothing. Who says that life is fair?

Gotta go and will try to get 10 min nap. Street seemed to be quiet. Already eaten and I had fish paksiw, scrambled eggs and tomatoes with patis for lunch. I ate very little rice though. Need to keep up with the planned diet. Ahhh... I miss being in the PI and eating with my sibs. Life back home might be harder but it sure is simpler than what we have here.

Expecting...

Finally got the shipment confirmation and I'm feeling good today. Instead of sitting down in the craftroom making cards, I instead clean the whole house I mean except the bathrooms. I was amazed how I did it but of course moving things and going up and down the stairs were still not an easy tasks. I even made great chicken and veggie kebobs for dinner. Imagine, those roasted red bell peppers, red onions, mushroom and pineapples... Yummy! It's really great not to feel any kind of symptoms today. But boy, meds are running out and it's gonna be two more weeks before I get to see the doctor. What is more amazing was I even get to swim and play with the kids at the pool this evening. God is surely working His hands on me.

If I still feel good tomorrow, bathrooms and laundry will be the next task. But if it's gonna be one of those bad days because I was so hyper today, then I will probably end in the craftroom and stare at the TV all day long until I'm too tired to even go to bed. But let's hope not. Tomorrow is another promising day that's gonna be filled with hope and love from our Lord above.

Expecting... yeah, I'm expecting something great. Hope it will get here before the week is over. I thought that I will be so tired by now and won't be able to clean my craftroom. But I still did! Praise you Lord! I am preparing my room for something really special. Thank God for it! Thank you sweetheart and my ever so supportive hubby. I am really excited! What could it be? You gotta wait till I squeal it.

To God be the glory. Have a blessed week to all of you... Mwah!

Disclaimer

I'm finally getting tired of some people imitating or copying my creative work and ideas then claimed it as theirs. It's enough that people really bothers me when they go out online and steal stamp images from online stores and converts them to digital stamps. I know that money nowadays are hard to come by but for Pete's sake, this little craft world that we're in, are mostly consists of stay at home Mom's or family as a whole, who were also trying to contribute on the family's nest. Put your shoes in someone else and let others steal your creative ideas. How would you feel? Do you think it would be fun? I think, that's really low. In my opinion, people who stoop to this level doesn't have the creativity nor the gift and should be spending their time, energy and money on something else that's worthy.

Being in this so called "Craft World" is fun yet to some their mission is to simply take out the fun at times. So I'm putting a disclaimer on my sites and let's just hope that it will have an effect on some people...

"Our Road"

Title: Our Road

Day 1 - Lost it

Today one thing is definite:  We lost it... The future will be scary and unsure but don't let it rattle us.  God is in control all the time and we're not.  What's bound to happen will happen.  This is just the beginning, so we have to be prepared for alot worst.  This is a test on us as a couple, Hon.  A test also on how faithful we are in believing that God is good and that He will take care of everything.  We need to stay positive and strong. Let's hang in there.  We have a lot of reasons to be thankful for: You, me and our two wonderful kids.  Whatever lies ahead of us, guys, as long as we have each other, we will survive it.

I'm behind you on this.  If I get scared and start crying, just hold me, okay.  The road that we will be travelling on will be dark and scary but our loving and merciful God will give us light.   I love you so much.  I will be forever thankful to God for you and the kids...

I love you guys!  Life is not life without the three of you - Mommy...

Note to self:   This too shall pass.

Babbling of the day

DH is off today. Got plans to go to the BX. Over the weekend, he came home and was excited to tell me that Air Force scrapbooking stuff were on sale. Too bad, I didn't see any sale or clearance scrapbook items. Disappointing, yes, but that's alright. I did see though some major changes in the crafting goods that the BX carries. They now expanded their line and was really surprised to see Cricut, DCWV, Bazzill, My Minds Eye, tons of Hero Arts (both clear and rubber mounted stamps) and alot more. It was pretty neat. I remember how craft deprived we were in Osan three years ago. Happy shopping for those active duty military and their spouses stationed abroad. I'm sure the AAFES will stock up more for you guys.

It was indeed a success not to buy anything about crafting in the BX but I did splurge on my daughter. I got her 4 new pretty dresses, 1 black pumps and 1 slip on sandals. Yeah, I agree she is a princess.
I was planning to buy her a dress for my son's birthday but I ended up shopping for her. The birthday boy only got a pair of black flip-flops. I wasn't able to get myself a sneaker either. I guess I will have to wait until the season change. The sneaker type I want is more like a summer type and they are still a bit pricey right now. I also got my DBIL a perfume for pasalubong and hoping he would like it. Didn't buy much for myself. Headache starting to hit really good. My daughter and I had been sniffing too many perfumes. She was even asking me to spray it on her. Perfume is a big no-no for someone who has sinusitis.

I also got some Martha Stewart household and kitchen stuff. What I like most was the queen size bedsheet sets, got them for $30/set. I missed doing my shopping in the BX. You will always find a good bargain deals especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Hmmm, what a coincidence, today is Wednesday...

DH took us also to the thrift store. I think it was a rip off. Imagine a DCWV 6X6 album for $11.99. Hope the ones in charge for the pricing knows what she's doing. Anyways, in a corner together with some craft magazines, I found a quilling kit for $5.88, which I admit was a good deal.
I also found a white plastic 3-drawer organizer for $11.99. I wasn't sure if that was a good deal but heck, its paid and it's now sitting in the back of our truck. Too late to even regret buying it.
We planned to eat out and go to the Filipino store after the trip to the BX. But my headache was getting pretty bad. We went home and I was in a bad mood but I still tried to force myself to eat and feed the babies. The next few hours was pretty nasty until I finally dozed off. Couldn't sleep in the bedroom because laying down makes the head hurts even more. I actually slept sitting down in my comfy chair in the dark craft room. The whole family didn't eat dinner, everybody was asleep by now while I'm wide awake blogging.

I feel guilty not updating my blog. I'm spending more and more time in FB and completely ignoring fixing the house, my crafting and my blog. I need to make tons of Mother's Day card but nothing. There's a huge mess in my craft room and alot of things that needs to get done in the house. I am really starting to have remorse about buying a big house. I really need help fixing this big house. DH had been putting up 12hours a day. I got no help and I have to take care of 4 people. By the time I stopped doing the daily routine, I'm too exhausted. All I want to do is sit down and goof around. I am so thankful to my daughter for helping me alot in the house. Haist...

Time out. Gotta do more babbling tomorrow. Will also insert pics tomorrow. Need to force msyelf to go to bed now. Julie Powell should be an inspiration... Be positive and need to stay on track to meet my goals!

Cya tomorrow! Kisses and big hugs...

Are they worth my tears???

Woke up this morning and so looking forward to finish up my craftroom. The cubies are starting to fill up. A whole bunch of scarpbook and stamping items are ready to be stored in the garage. Yeah, you're right, I'm running out of space in my room. Since this morning, I spent the whole time unwrapping my papers and checking my inventory. When I got done, I just realized I'm missing alot of my paper collection. The vintage ones, my MAMBI kits, my Autumn Leaves kits, my stacks of DCWV and who knows else I'm missing. I cannot take it anymore, I just burst out and started crying. I've already lost 3/4 of my Close To My Heart stamp collection and now this. Our shipment has a "FULL PRICE REPLACEMENT" notation but still it doesn't change the fact that I won't be able to replace them anymore. With all the stuff that's gone, I can't help but cry.

Dinner

We had rice, mung beans soup and Pinoy version of stuffed fish (Rellenong Bangus).  It was not a good combination.

A backstabber

It's kindda hard to accept when a person you treated so well decided to stab you in the back.  Only because of money.  I don't buy it when people say that money is evil and dirty.  It is actually the people that makes money evil and dirty.  To some, money is a drive and motivator. Like this person that we met while we were stationed in Korea.  We treated him so well and had helped him during the times that he was so down and in deep trouble at work.  To make the matters worst, he was also the reason why we got held from our supposedly July 4 departure from Korea. But God is good.  He really takes care of the wicked people and blesses the people who serve Him.

Sometimes, I think my marrying a kindhearted and good-natured man was a setback.  This person I was talking about screwed us three times.  The first and second time, I was ready to give up and not let this person get into our lives again.  After not talking for some months, he sent us an email and gave an impression that he was making up for what he'd done.  DH was totally into it but like most women, I have an instinct and an ill feeling towards this person.  I've always been cautious and I don't normally judge people.  In fact I trust people easily.  Going back to the story, finally, after months of waiting and wondering, we heard from him again. BTW, this is all about a job offer in Riyadh that pays great.  All this time, my DH and the company was working out the employment process back here in the States yet unknowingly this person was manipulating everything back in Riyadh.  Why?  He found out that the job pays 6digits and decided he wants it for himself.  That is so low.  His wife even conspired with him.  I understand her though, because her loyalty is supposed to be with the husband.  Too bad because I treated her like a little sister.  She actually made me believed that we would all be together in Riyadh. Like what I said earlier, God really takes care of the wicked people.  Fortunately, they didn't get the job and every plan they had just didn't work out.  His current employer will not release him.  Bottomline, Ed still got the job offer and fortunately, we will have the chance to turn it down.  When the company told Ed that they picked a different candidate, it brought disappointment and frustrations to Ed.  He was told that he was the only candidate and that he is overqualified to do the job plus his 6 years of working in the past in the Middle East was supposed to be an advantage.  It is indeed suprising yet not surprising to see how far men would go just to get ahead of other people.

Right now, we have a job that may not pay alot but good enough to take care of our family.  We have a job that God wants us to have, that's why we are here.  That is what we prayed for.  A job that would let us stay together as family.  No more travelling long haul and no more scary plane rides.  No more separations.  No more moving around.  We retired to have a normal family life and we have it now.  Money is not enough.  Money doesn't buy happiness nor true friendship.  If money is what drives and motivates you then you will never be happy.  You will never know what life is all about.  We don't live for money, we live for God and for our family.  I can say now that I am so lucky and blessed to be married to a kindhearted and good-natured man.  So if you are blessed and lucky like me, don't forget to get on your knees and thank God for your husband.  I feel sorry for people who are married to a man who doesn't have the decency, moral, dignity and honor.

Lesson learned:  Be very careful as to who you let in in your house and in your family.

Getting there update...

Another delay but we'll definitely get out of this place today, maybe later but we'll sure head down south today.  It was a nice visit last night to my DFIL and DMIL.  We're sad to go but we assured them that we love them and will always think of them.  We also told them that just in case they decided to sell the house, they can come down south and we'll build them a home of their own.  Kids interacted good with their grandparents for the first time.  They both didn't acted when it was time to go, instead they kissed and hugged their grandparents, which seldom happens in the last 4 months.  We will see you soon, Mom and Dad.

Packing is still not totally done but I'm getting there.  After that a little work on tidying this place needs to be done.  Feel bad throwing food again but got no choice.  There's no way I could convince DH to drag those food cross country.  Our Jeep was already set to get shipped.  Then a little running around to get some food for the road and we'll all set to go.  I hope the Pinoy store in Plains is still on business or DH has no choice but to run all the way to Scranton to get some stuff.

Does it look like I'm getting there? Just say yes :-), that would definitely encourage me...

All clothes were sorted out and packed according to its respective suitcases...

All of us we're in a cranky mood last night.  We retired for bed at 10PM but DH decided to stay late and washed clothes and Jackie's carseat.  Hmm, I'm sure Jackie won't feel bad throwing up in his newly washed carseat.  The joy of parenthood....

I'm going to bed...

Tomorrow will be our last day here at the apartment and I'm not yet done with the packing.  We will be doing some last minute running around.  We need to buys some food for the road, need to get some Pinoy food supplies for at least a month, need to run over to Mom and Dad's house and last but not least, we need to buy a bunch of Birch Tree Beer cases that we wanna take with us to the south.  Then, we'll load the trailer and off we go...
Nytnyt for now, I need all the energy for tomorrow's activities.

Haist... I guess I'm back!

Okay, I guess I'm back and this time I would really keep this blog updated.
Here's the thing, why do some people have the freakin' nerve to be unappreciative of help.  Why do I ended up always being screwed up by people?  Could it be because I am trying hard to be nice, trusty and forcing myself to please the people around me.
When will I learn my lesson?  Mind you, this isn't the first time.  DH said that if I need to be an a-s to protect myself, do it.
It's Christmas, I'm sure I'll get over this.  Just venting out...
