When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Finally, a DCWV Stackaholic Template Challenge

Finally, an entry to DCWV monthly Stackaholic Template Challenge will make it to Erin's email.  I have tried alot of times to make an LO but because we travel so much every weekend, none of them made it to the challenge.  Finally... Woot! Woot!  I hope I can join them every month.
I actually feel guilty that I seldom make any scrapbook layout nowadays.  I started as a scrapbooker and since life becomes really busy especially after we decided to home school the kids, I rarely have the time to sit down and make a layout.  With DCWV's monthly sketch challenge, I at least get to make one scrapbook page and that's better than nothing.

Oh what fun it is to dig into Ella's pictures.  It was fun too putting up this LO.  I really missed doing scrapbook page.  Maybe I should start looking for more challenges online, to encourage me to make more.
Have you seen DCWV's booth on Winter CHA?  I got this from my subscription to Erin Madsen's DCWV blog.  If you are not a follower, go ahead and look for DCWV fan page in Facebook.  If I'm not mistaken, they will be giving out 13 stacks (yes! 13 stacks that hasn't made yet in any craft stores and that is worth $250) to 4 lucky ladies during CHA.  All you have to do is go to Facebook and you will be ask to subscribe.  Fill up the form and you'll be entered into a daily drawing.  Hurry, you still have 2 more days!

Cricut 360 ° Challenge - Relax

Everyday, I scrambled every minute to take care of so many things and of course the three most important people in my life.  We have a pool in our house and we also have an apartment in a beach area, however, relaxing for me is not the norms.  Relaxing for me means being done with my duties as a Mom and a wife. This is why I approached this challenge on a different view.

Here is a scrapbook page that shows what relaxes me...

Relaxing means being done with cleaning, laundry, dishes/cooking and homeschooling.  After being done those duties, it means it's "me"time...

Finally, a LO for Jackie

I finally made a 2-page scrapbook layout for my son Jackie.  I am also entering this project at Cooking with Cricut - Birthday Challenge.  This is going to be my first time to join Cooking with Cricut yet this isn't the first project I made for them.  For those who didn't know, I was planing to play along last week but I didn't made it to the deadline.  You wanna see the layout I made, please click HERE.

I intend to join in the fun at Cooking with Cricut as often as I can and I am hoping that it would encourage me to make at least 2-page LO every week.

Here's the provided sketch for this week's challenge.
I used Cricut cartridge Nate ABC's.  The Jack in the box image was so perfect for my son Jackie...
I used car die-cuts as embellishments for the scrapbook pages.  The Daddy got him a huge cake with a SUV towing a camper as cake topper. Little did we know that this birthday will be the start of cars and trains addiction.
Times flies so quickly.  He still look very much a baby in these pictures.
I added number 3 in every cars to give emphasis on his age.
Isn't Jack a cutie?  Yeah, that's double meaning...  Can't blame me, I'm crazy about my son LOL.

RECIPE:
PAPER: PTI, DCWV and Embassy
STAMP: Peachy Keen Stamps
INKPAD: Memento Tuxedo Black
TOOLS: Cricut Expression, Gypsy, PC paper trimmer, ATG, Zip Dry, and Zig 2-way glue pen
CARTRIDGE: Nate's ABC's
OTHERS: Sakura gelly roll pen

Last posting for the night...

Okay, this will be my last posting for the night then I'm heading out to bed.  Yeah, I was busy cutting again for the last two night and I honestly have only few hours of sleep.  Playing along with those fun challenges are pretty addicting plus it took my mind off from missing my DH so much.  I don't know with you, but it also took away the crappy feeling of having a stomach flu.  I must admit that in between cutting and making those cards, I would stop and rest.

This last posting is a 2-page layout, which I was planning to submit as my entry to Cooking with Cricut challenge - 3 Flowers.  I was a bit disappointed about this.  I was ready to post my project Mr.  Linky decided to close the submission when in fact as I was downloading the pictures off my SD card, it says I still have 1hr and 23mins.  So to make the story short, this entry didn't make it to the deadline.  I can't argue with Mr. Linky, right!?  One thing nice though was, I was able to make another sweet and cute scrapbook page for my daughter Ella.  Pictures are to follow since I was really in a hurry to do these pages and not have enough time to go through all the pictures.

I may not made it to the submission at Cooking with Cricut, but I am submitting this to Paper Cutz Challenge.
The rule is make any kind of project with your preferred theme and colors.

I hope I will be able to make it next time At cooking with Cricut.
Thanks for looking peeps!  Love you all and thank you so much for your lovely and inspiring words.  It makes me want to create more...
Happy Crafting everyone.

Mini Scrapbook Album

It's been quite awhile now since I last made a scrapbook page, let alone a scrapbook album.  Looking back couple years ago, I remember myself being the scrapbooker rather than a cardmaker.  But three years ago, I took stamping into a different level and that's when I became a serious cardmaker.  I don't know if it was good or bad.  Since then, I do scrapbook less and less, which I think was a sad matter.  I guess it's because of the instant gratification we got from making cards.  Normally, it will make me at least a day or two just to finish one 12X12 layout while I can finish at least three cards in one night. So today I told myself, enough excuses, I'm making a scrapbook project!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge for this week is to use Paper Doll Dress-Up or Everyday Paper Doll.  You should also incorporate heat or dry embossing in your project.  With this challenge, I took the chance to make a mini-album and I really like it! I was amazed that I was able to finish it within couple hours.
I used this cowgirl image from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge as focal point of the album cover.
This is a 6X6 chipboard album.  Binded using Cinch Bindery Tool.

I used Action Wobble for the cowgirl.  I'm loving my "wobbler".
So far this is the third project where I used the wobbler.
Still amazed I was able to finish this mini-album in one sit.
I heat embossed all the title page and I also used Spellbinder dies to cut and embossed the frames on the front.
Hoping I could share with you the cowgirl moving because of the wobbler.
A closer look on the cowgirl.
Why a cowgirl?  We'll we're in Texas LOL!
Thanks for dropping by.  Hope I inspire you to do scrapbooking...
