When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday, I was in the mood to color, which I haven't done in awhile.  So here's my St. Patrick's Day card for all of you...
MATERIALS:
PAPERS: My Minds Eye, Bo Bunny, Stampin' Up, Bazzill Basic and American Craft
STAMPS: My Creative Time (sentiments) and Inkadinkado (image)
COLORING: Copic, atyou Spica and Sakura white jelly-roll pen
INKPAD: TH distressed inkpads for inking (mowed lawn and vintage photo), Versafine (black onyx), and Versamark (watermark)
PAINTS: Lumiere paint (sunset gold and pearl emerald gold), Liquitex paint (black), Decoart Metallic Lumiere (gold rush and champagne)
WATERCOLOR: Panelli (emerald green)
OTHERS: Watercolor paper (can''t remember the brand), Lindy's Stamp Gang (embossing powder), Inkadinkado (clear embossing powder)
TOOLS: Cuttlebug (die-cut machine), Spellbinders (dies), Anna Griffin (border embossing folders), Fiskars (paper trimmer), Ranger (heat tool), Scotch (ATG) and pop-dots
EMBELLISHMENT: Assorted washi tapes, Basic Grey (gold enamel dots), Anna Griffin (leather/trim), Unknown ribbon buckle and coins

BTW, it was my first time to color in a watercolor paper and then embossed the image with EP.  The paper absorbs the ink of the markers well and does not bleed too much. I think I will do it this way every time I would color.  You should try it too and you'll see the difference.

Imagine... Create... Inspire

The title says it all:
Imagine...
Create...
and
Inspire...
Everyday,
I am happy to learn while exploring Art.
Everyday,
I'm hopeful that I can make something out of that learning.
And in this new journey,
I hope
I inspire someone.

Unity Stamp Color Challenge

Two months ago, I decided to sign-up for Unity Stamp SMAK and LOL club, which will be mailed to you on a monthly basis.  I've been making all sorts of projects but still couldn't find time to make something out of my Unity stamps.

Last night, I came across Unity's blog color challenge, and when I saw the inspiration color photo, I knew exactly what I would make. So, without further ado, here it is:
 Love, love the colors in this palette...
 Here's my card, using the feather in Layer's of Life stamp set.
This is a simple, no fuzz and very easy to make card.

I stamped the image using Versafine black onyx ink.
For added layers, stamped couple more images here and there.
Next, I embossed the image using distressed EP - black soot.
Then, I used my marker spritzer with distressed markers:
squeezed lemonade, shaded lilac, salty ocean and mowed lawn.
Really love that those tiny droplets of ink made the feather pop so much.
Added washi tapes, ribbon, enamel dots, button and bling.
Hope you like it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm missing my Irish man...
Anyways, here's a quick post.  The Irish children in the house we're so happy but they actually enjoyed more the chocolate that comes with this.  This is a side step card, which I cut using my Silhouette cameo.  Yeah, no more hassle on measurement and scoreboard, just hit the button "Cut"!

May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
brightened by a song in your heart,
and warmed by the smiles
of the people you love.
 These images were released during 2013 Winter CHA and when I saw it, told myself, I have to have that Marci and Luca stamps.  I had fun coloring these images,

Sweet & Sassy - The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #193

Next project I will be posting is a card I made for sketch challenge at Sweet & Sassy - The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge # 193:

Here's my take:
 It's been 5mons now since we left home and everybody was missing it.  So to channel the sad emotion, I cut out a Texas map using my Silhouette Cameo and made a card out of it.  I used a monochromatic theme - brown.  We used to joke that most of the time, you'll see nothing but yellow, brown or dirt in Texas.  That joke turned into a card...
One thing is sure, there is more color in Texas than where we are right now.
 The inside... just making use of the scrap patterned paper.
We will be sending this card to a friend/co-worker of my hubby together with some fresh spices...
MATERIALS:
PAPER: Gina K, DCWV, Stampin' Up! and American Craft {cardstock}, Studio Calico by American Craft {patterned paper}
STAMPS: Flourishes - Cottage Home & On The Porch {sentiments}
INKPAD: Memento {Rich Cocoa}
TOOLS: Silhouette Cameo {electronic die-cut machine}, Spellbinder Grand Calibur {die-cut machine}, MFT Die-namics {retro squares die}, Scoth {ATG}, E-6000 {glue}, Fiskar {paper trimmer} and sponge
EMBELLISHMENT: Making Memories {heart brad}, Basic Grey {half pearls}, Walmart {brown hemp}, flower bead and washi tape.

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge # 10

No crafting today.  Kids are finally getting better and I'm getting worst.  I stayed in bed most of the morning nurturing my cough and colds.  I finally got up at lunch time.  Called hubby to tell him about my weird dream.  It was a funny dream.  In the dream I was chasing a yellow spider and an orange snake.  The yellow spider was actually spraying  red, aqua blue and aqua green venom.  Hubby said that I must be in a crafting mode lately that in my dreams, I'm even coloring.  I actually like it LOL...

After feeding my kids their brunch, I decided to clean up my craft table and yet I still forgot to take pictures.  Well, the ones I will be uploading should be okay unless I want to miss posting my first card project.

Here you go... for a start, here is my take for CAS(E) this Sketch # 10, which is their first challenge for the year 2013.

 I made all the die-cuts using Impression Obsession dies and I got those mini-eggs 3 years ago the from Dollar Tree knowing fully that I could use them for my cards.
 The inside... I also added a wood grain washi tape to compliment the theme.
 There it is!
MATERIALS:

PAPER: Gina K, DCWV, Stampin' Up! and American Craft {cardstock}
STAMPS: Paper Smooches {sentiments}
INKPAD: Memento {Rich Cocoa}
TOOLS: Spellbinder Grand Calibur {die-cut machine}, Impression Obsession {bare branch and twig wreath dies}, Scoth {ATG}, E-6000 {glue}, Fiskar {paper trimmer}
EMBELLISHMENT: Bazzil Basic {mini brads}, Basic Grey {half pearls}, Dollar Tree {mini eggs}, and washi tape.
