When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Crashed, wet and missing...

Finally, our HHG made it here and although some of our stuff got crashed, wet and missing, we still got most of it. I got my sewing machine, E2, 12 X 12 papers and among other things literally soaking wet...

Not a good sight huh!?
See the mist?
I haven't tried turning the machines on.  I'm giving them time to completely dry.
My sugar pourer I bought that supposedly for storing my baker's twine, 6 of them all broken. Now I don't have enough since I can't afford to buy them at $4/piece locally VS $1 in the States.

I still very hopeful that my machines are still working.  Wish me luck! As for storage, I have to make due of what very little I have right now.  I can't be buying stuff that I will end up throwing when it comes time to leave.

Spectrum Noir

About two months ago somewhere in Ohio, I got the chance to buy all 12 of the Spectrum Noir 6-pen sets.  They were on sale at Pat Catan's, which only operates in 2 States - Ohio and Pennsylvania.  I was amazed with all the new stuff they have and the prices were really competitive as most online craft stores.

The other night, I used my new markers and colored the only stamped image that somehow got mixed-up with the supplies I mailed.  I was planning to make a card for several challenges but unfortunately, I don't have anything I can use for cardbase, let alone, to stamp an image... Ha! I got everything here except that LOL.  Anyways, here's showing you the colored image...

Image used is Penny Black.  So far I like the markers although you need to be very careful because the ink really runs or bleeds so much.  But blending is easy peasy. How I wish I could make a card out of this image...
On the side note, I got an email from Hallmark Scrapbook today and they're running a special on Spectrum Noir.  I was planning to buy all of the 4 - 24sets (Dark, Lights, Brights and Pastels/Total of 96markers) for $119 BUT... I dont think I will pay $18 for shipping.  Well, I sent a message to the owner asking if its possible to fit them all in one flat rate priority box so I can save a few bucks on the shipping...  if not, then I guess I'll just have to pass up the deal.

Have a happy election day!

Bling, bling in an unexpected places...

Got these 8 X 4 sheets of bling in an unexpected store and paid a little over a dollar on each pack.  It's like $3-$4 per small pack in the US, so I think I score big time...  I can say that again now that I'm back to being in a craft deprived place LOL

I honestly don't know why I only took a pack of purple bling... Duh!

Beggars can't be choosers...

Still not much to post... Still couldn't do any crafting since HHG are still enroute but I have a few supplies that I mailed.

Here's a peek of my crafting/classroom area in our new home.  I was issued a couple bookcases, desks and some cabinets to put in this room.  Although furniture in this room doesn't match, I'm happy with it and considered myself lucky to even have a space to play with my craft toys.

I mailed my markers that the shippers wont pack and ship.  The box for it was beaten up pretty badly during the mailing and as a result a bunch of my CTMH and LePlume markers lost their caps and bled.  Aside from markers, my CTMH reinkers got busted too and I'm hopeful that it didn't ruin my stickles.
I put together two desks so hopefully I have enough working space.
I am wandering if I can ever fill up these two big bookcases... One bottom shelf is already filled with my kid's crafting supplies.
A small breakfast table will be my kids desk during studytime...
My baby Jackie playing in his Daddy's computer. Also put up a small working area for my hubby.
I'm sure this room is will be one of the busy area in our new home... there's even enough space in the middle to dance or goof around...

That's it for now...  Take care y'all.

My last chance to do some craft hauling

Before leaving, hubby let me do some shopping for my crafting.  Luckily Michaels had run those crazy coupon promo.  I got another Prismacolor 132 pencil for about $60.  I'm surprised to see that Michaels are now selling those 6X6 MME paper stacks. Cricut carts were bought from Joanns.

These were all bought from Tuesday morning, yes, even those Tim Holtz dies...
Just before we left Wright Patt, we came across the base thrift store and hubby found all these.  I paid almost next to nothing on the vintage laces and trims...

I will surely missed the craft stores in the US but because of that it will also give me the chance to use whatever I have in my stash... And anyways, nowadays, you can almost find anything crafty online and I found some really nice online stores...

A Peek of My New Craft Room

Just showing you my new craft haven... Yes we've moved again! I hope I will have lots of fun in this room. Plenty of windows, which will give me plenty of natural lights. I think the family will be spending more time in this room. We will also use this room as the kids classroom.  I also intend to set up a small desk for hubby to tinker with his computer in one corner of the room. If he gets messy like usual then I dont have a choice but to kick him outta here.

Delighted...

Hello fellow crafters, long time no hear from me, right!?   Well alot of things happened since the last time I posted anything here.  I won't go through it but instead I'm delighted to share with you some of my crafting work done during the process:

A Thank You Card using a CTMH sentiment.
One of my favorite amongst this batch.  Again, I used my long been ignored CTMH stamps and inkpads.
It's been so long now since I last made a vintage card.  I think I just got Heirloom Stack of DCWV when I made this card.  It's one of my okay card but not my favorite...
Love the color combo on this one but I really don't like the final outcome.  I tried using diecut pictures from DCWV Coral Couture stack but came out bad.
My DD showed me a card template from one of my magazine and told me to create something similar.  Again, I took advantage of the fact that we were in CC and I dont have any stamps except CTMH, not that I mind...
A card I made for Lt. Curbs or the lady whom everybody called "Jack's Mom".  Yeah, she has a son named Jack too.  I made this card after learning she was expecting her second baby.  Everyone was so excited for her because we know how much she worked on becoming pregnant again.  Too bad, this card didn't make it on her desk because she lost the baby.  But then again, couple months before we left TX, we were told that she was pregnant again;  So happy for her, only thing is, I can't find this card anymore will all the moving, packing, storing and shipping.  Maybe I'll have the chance to make one again soon... Stamps are CTMH and Recollection.
Another card made using a diecut and paper scraps from DCWV Coral Couture.  Love it!
Same as above... I used paper scraps and diecuts from DCWV.  Noticed the weird positions of the bling?  It's because of the heat in TX.
"Friends fill your life with joy, your soul with sunshine and your heart with love." I made this card with the intention of sending my love and appreciation for my friend Myra.  Thank you my friend for the special coffeemaker gift but sorry if this card didn't reach you.  Well, at least you have a digital one, LOL.
A card I made for my DS, Ella, my DD chose the template from Paper Crafting Mags Special Issue. Stamps are CTMH...
Really love this color combo. Background and sentiments are CTMH stamps.  This is a simple, no fuss card.
Found this Basic Grey stamp from Hobby Lobby on sale and DD asked me to make a card out of it. Love the colors and the MS flower embellish...
My goal is to make a dainty, simple quilt card.  I failed because I think it came out so flat and boring.  Well, once in awhile we get those "oops" card right!? At least I get to ink my Cornish Heritage stamp.
Not sure if I posted this card already but with Halloween on the way, I missed making all sort of projects and cards.  I still think that Kraftin' Kimmie is the best Halloween stamps.
A strip of lace, some chipboard banners and alphas and a couple of scrap paper... Voila! a gorgeous simpple card I made especially for my mom.  Glad she loves it!
Another attempt to make a quilt card.  You be the judge LOL, promise I won't get mad... Making a simple and clean card is really hard for me. Nee more practice, right!?
Another card that didn't make it to the PO.  Also an attempt to use flower, chipboard and scraps that starting to collect dust in my craftroom.
Finally, the highlight of my post, a 3D framed hydrangea card I made for my DMIL. Well as a general rule, you always make the bestest card for the people that matters to you, right.
I've always been a big fan of Kitty and her wonderful 3D card creations. If you are interested, here is her tutorial, go ahead and check her site.  I'm sure you will be so overwhelmed of her gorgeous works and wonderful tutorials.

That's it for now... Take care peeps...

BTW, I hope you noticed my effort in getting rid of some unwanted papers and that is by using them as envies for most of these cards...

Now I wont feel so bad that I didn't have anything crafty for this year's archive....

Baptismal Guestbook and Card

Two weeks prior to the event, I was packing everything for Sophia's big day.  I was already taping the box when I realized I need to make a guestsbook and card for her.  So instead of going to sleep that night, I decided I have to whip a simple card and guestbook before sending the stuff.

I used a bunch of scraps for the front page, where the focal point was a frame for Sophia.
I used my Stampin' Up SAB stamp kit and Martha Stewart Craft Your Own Stamp for each pages of the guestbook.

This is supposedly an entry for DCWV first card challenge but like the many attempts I did, I wasn't able to submit it.
Don't you just love the doily I used?  I love it and I'm glad I got it.
Oh, BTW, its a Stampin' Up die...

Hope you did find some inspiration on the DIY Baptismal stuff I made.  If I had the time and the oppurtunity, I would have made some flower decor, cupcake/cake topper and centerpiece for the table.  My brother and my sister-in-law was very happy and pleased when they got the stuff I sent so I guess thats what really counts...

Hope I can still find some pics of my projects the last months that I failed to post...
