When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Wedding Card

A special couple who are dear to us is getting married soon. I especially made this card for their special day.

Used Recollection, CTMH and The Paper Studio Cardstock. Anna Griffin for patterned Paper. Used Cricut machine, Wedding, Tie the Knot and Blackletter carts. Also used SU! for sentiments while Memento Dew Drop for inkpad. Prima flowers, Prima crystal, half pearls, grossgrain ribbon and wine goblet are added as embellishment.
One more wedding card to go...

Playing with Sweet Pea Stamp

Playing with Sweet Pea Stamp.
Colored images using Copic and Prismacolor markers. Used DCWV Cafe Mediterrean cardstock and patterned paper. Used PTI cardstock for card base. Added glittered flourish chipboard, some silk flowers/leaves and a bunch of rhinestones as embellishment. I also used some skeleton leaves to create an illusion of wings...

NSD Entry: Mother's Day

In celebration of NSD and the upcoming Mother's Day, I decided to make an LO about my sister, who recently lost her baby girl, Nona. I have to admit that doing this LO brought tears to my eyes. Losing a baby is a very sad and traumatic event in a mother's life. Cheers to you Tin for being a good Mom and sister.
Someday it's gonna make sense...
I've chosen the black and pink motif for this layout. I used black for mourning and pink for baby girl. This is a simple and clean layout. No fuss or too much embellishments. The title "someday its gonna make sense" is the couple's theme song, which was sung by Michael Learns to Rock. The lyrics was very inspiring and gives so much encouragement to my sister and DBIL.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you, especially to you Tin...

Edge Punch Swatches

Are you one of those crafter who likes to hoard? Well, I am. I'm nuts about EK Success and Martha Stewart and boy, I think I have about 125 different styles. Shhh... I know, remember I have the obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Most of these punches are being stored in an Ikea drawer and with all honesty, I do not have any idea which ones I have. So to solve this dilemma, I made some swatches then drilled a hole and puts them in a binder ring. So now I can go through my edge punch collection without digging in the drawers. Here are the pics:

Hugs!

Need my Mojo back....

An original composition while my mind is suffering from a severe crafter's block...

Crafter's block, crafter's block, go away,
I need my mojo back today,
I need it back, so I can make my dear ones happy and gay,
I have to make gifts and cards for their birthdays and also on Mother's Day.
Oh dear, it is also the month to remember our wedding day.
Indeed, I ought to be busy day after day during the month of May,
But crafter's block keeps pestering me all day.
So please crafter's block stay away,
Have pity and give me back my mojo right away...

I need the creative juice flowing... HELP!

Babbling of the day

DH is off today. Got plans to go to the BX. Over the weekend, he came home and was excited to tell me that Air Force scrapbooking stuff were on sale. Too bad, I didn't see any sale or clearance scrapbook items. Disappointing, yes, but that's alright. I did see though some major changes in the crafting goods that the BX carries. They now expanded their line and was really surprised to see Cricut, DCWV, Bazzill, My Minds Eye, tons of Hero Arts (both clear and rubber mounted stamps) and alot more. It was pretty neat. I remember how craft deprived we were in Osan three years ago. Happy shopping for those active duty military and their spouses stationed abroad. I'm sure the AAFES will stock up more for you guys.

It was indeed a success not to buy anything about crafting in the BX but I did splurge on my daughter. I got her 4 new pretty dresses, 1 black pumps and 1 slip on sandals. Yeah, I agree she is a princess.
I was planning to buy her a dress for my son's birthday but I ended up shopping for her. The birthday boy only got a pair of black flip-flops. I wasn't able to get myself a sneaker either. I guess I will have to wait until the season change. The sneaker type I want is more like a summer type and they are still a bit pricey right now. I also got my DBIL a perfume for pasalubong and hoping he would like it. Didn't buy much for myself. Headache starting to hit really good. My daughter and I had been sniffing too many perfumes. She was even asking me to spray it on her. Perfume is a big no-no for someone who has sinusitis.

I also got some Martha Stewart household and kitchen stuff. What I like most was the queen size bedsheet sets, got them for $30/set. I missed doing my shopping in the BX. You will always find a good bargain deals especially on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Hmmm, what a coincidence, today is Wednesday...

DH took us also to the thrift store. I think it was a rip off. Imagine a DCWV 6X6 album for $11.99. Hope the ones in charge for the pricing knows what she's doing. Anyways, in a corner together with some craft magazines, I found a quilling kit for $5.88, which I admit was a good deal.
I also found a white plastic 3-drawer organizer for $11.99. I wasn't sure if that was a good deal but heck, its paid and it's now sitting in the back of our truck. Too late to even regret buying it.
We planned to eat out and go to the Filipino store after the trip to the BX. But my headache was getting pretty bad. We went home and I was in a bad mood but I still tried to force myself to eat and feed the babies. The next few hours was pretty nasty until I finally dozed off. Couldn't sleep in the bedroom because laying down makes the head hurts even more. I actually slept sitting down in my comfy chair in the dark craft room. The whole family didn't eat dinner, everybody was asleep by now while I'm wide awake blogging.

I feel guilty not updating my blog. I'm spending more and more time in FB and completely ignoring fixing the house, my crafting and my blog. I need to make tons of Mother's Day card but nothing. There's a huge mess in my craft room and alot of things that needs to get done in the house. I am really starting to have remorse about buying a big house. I really need help fixing this big house. DH had been putting up 12hours a day. I got no help and I have to take care of 4 people. By the time I stopped doing the daily routine, I'm too exhausted. All I want to do is sit down and goof around. I am so thankful to my daughter for helping me alot in the house. Haist...

Time out. Gotta do more babbling tomorrow. Will also insert pics tomorrow. Need to force msyelf to go to bed now. Julie Powell should be an inspiration... Be positive and need to stay on track to meet my goals!

Cya tomorrow! Kisses and big hugs...

Are they worth my tears???

Woke up this morning and so looking forward to finish up my craftroom. The cubies are starting to fill up. A whole bunch of scarpbook and stamping items are ready to be stored in the garage. Yeah, you're right, I'm running out of space in my room. Since this morning, I spent the whole time unwrapping my papers and checking my inventory. When I got done, I just realized I'm missing alot of my paper collection. The vintage ones, my MAMBI kits, my Autumn Leaves kits, my stacks of DCWV and who knows else I'm missing. I cannot take it anymore, I just burst out and started crying. I've already lost 3/4 of my Close To My Heart stamp collection and now this. Our shipment has a "FULL PRICE REPLACEMENT" notation but still it doesn't change the fact that I won't be able to replace them anymore. With all the stuff that's gone, I can't help but cry.

Update on my craftroom

Here's a bunch of pictures of my craproom oops, craftroom. I really hope I'll be done with this room. So far, most of the rooms in our house are as messy as this. Hey, most of the time, its a one man job because DH has to put in 12 hours a day at work. You should see my kitchen, it was really neat and organized especially the pantry. I really didn't stop until I organized the pantry the way I want it. I'll post some pics this weekend but for the meantime, look how messy my crafting space is:
BEWARE:  It is a sore in the eyes but if you are a crafter, you would love to be in this room...
People were asking me, "What are those cookie jars for?"  Well, its now obvious that its for my ribbon stash.  My collection had grown so big and still I can't stop collecting... but I can't! Anyways, can see my craft books?  I'm so happy browsing them again while I was putting them out of the boxes.
Time to put out my SU Classic Inkpads.  While doing some cards for the National Craft Month, I finally unwrapped and started using my SU Craft Inkpsots.  I was pleased with it and worried that I might run out of ink so I thought of ordering reinkers set.  Oh at the last minute, I changed my mind and decided that I needed the Classic reinker.  I will be exploring a different avenues of coloring stamped images using reinkers.
You can barely walk in this room.  Boy, I'm looking forward to the day when I can look at this room and be so pleased and proud of myself.  When is that?  I hope soon too!
See those Huggies diaper box, I am reusing it as my sticker bin.  They are perfect fit on those cubies and they were very sturdy. Should I paint it or cover it with pattern paper?  Painting will be easier and cheaper...
A glimpse of the walk-in closet.  As it stands right now, it now full to the brim.  This is going to be the hideaway for things that are not so pleasing to the eyes.
Top view of the walk-in closet.  I got three shelves and there's no way that I could put anything in there. I have here my supplies, materials I seldom used and some chemicals that could endanger my two crazy kids.
Bottom part of the walk-in closet.  I need to start putting my papers tomorrow in those paper organizer but before that, I have to check my inventory first.
That's it for now.  I will post pics again soon...
Have a great weekend guys!!!

My newly dressed-up blog

Life lately was a little bit maddening so I didn't have the time to work on my blog.  Moving too a new house was not a joke especially if its big.  A week ago, our household goods both in GA and from Korea finally got here.  Boy, you should see my house now, it's a huge mess.  Although most of the boxes are gone with a couple that still need to work on.  My craft room was a disaster place and I'm really running out of place to put on my things.  Purging is really must.  My plan was to share some with my kids, sell some and host another blog candy for my dear craft friends.

Speaking of blog candy, my friend, Joan and I are currently hosting blog candies, click HERE and HERE in celebration of the National Craft Month. REDISCOVERING GLITTERS
Recipe:
1.) I stamped a vine image in Tsukineko glue pad unto a black cardstock.
2.) Then I sprinkled it with my newly bought jewel Glitter Ritz, a very fine glitters.
3.) Adhere it to couple mats and added ribbon as embellishment.
 CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE:
1) Stamped vine image to a pigment inkpad.
2) The way to apply the chalk is by tapping. Tapping will let the pigment ink grab the chalk. I used 4 different shades of green.
3) Adhere to couple mats.
4) Added sentiment.

REPURPOSED RUBBERSTAMP MOUNT
I have been unmounting my stamps lately. Some of my stamps like Belles & Whistles came in a laminated sheets. Instead of just getting rid of them, I thought of altering it. Last week, we went to Hobby Lobby and I finally found a nice trim that would look good for this bookmark project. So far, I'm happy with the result....
In a week, March will be over and I hope everyone will be looking forward to celebrate with us again the National Craft Month next year.  Please keep on posting your craftwork on the blog candies. I am so dying to finish my craftroom and the whole house so I could start playing with you guys, again.

Hope you like the new dress of my blog.  Dressing it was the next best thing to crafting.  Have a great day...
Happy Crafting...
