When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

In My Life

This song by Bette Midler have a very special place in my heart.  I mostly dedicate it to some people who are and were (past tense) dear to me.  Most of the people we know in our lives will come and go.  And as much as we tried to keep them, circumstances, changes and some events in our lives will make it so impossible to form a lasting relationship.  But true friendship doesn't end.  There are no goodbye's, no farewell's because the love and the memories will always be in our hearts and minds.

In My Life by Bette Midler
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed.
Some forever, not for better.
And some have gone, and some remain.

All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life I love them all.

But of all these friends and lovers,
There is no one compares with you.
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new.

Though I know I'll never ever lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them.
In my life I love you more.

Though I know I'll never ever lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think of them.
But in my life I loved you more.
I love you more.
I love you more.

To Kathy, I tried to look for you so many times.  I missed you.  You are one dear friend who will always remain in my heart no matter where I go, no matter what happen.  I wished there will be another time, another chance to be with you and catch up on our lives.  I miss you so much, friend.

I made this scrapbook page for you Sweetie.  I have kept these pictures and even brought here in the States, because I have the notion that I will never have another chance to see you again.  But I was wrong, you found me in FB.  You are a gift from God and I will always be thankful for you.

Take care and hope to talk to you soon...

Note: I wish I could insert the lyrics but I only made an 8X8 layout because the pictures were so small.

Just another everyday card

I found this cute little stamp the last time I was able to go to Michael's. I found this particular stamp on sale and I thought of giving it a try for the first time. This maybe just another card but I spent the whole night working on it. Well, I have OCD right!? So much with the babbline, here's the card:

I made this card for a very special someone so I exerted alot of effort and I think I did a job.  Like what I said, it took me the whole night to do this only to get ruined right after I took this picture.  Culprit: a little wacky rascal named Jackie.

Paper: Leftover unknown patterned paper, embassy, DCWV cardstock and GP
Stamp: Lavender Plant Fairy by Stamp Happens
Inkpads: Memento and TH distressed inkpads
Tools: EK edge punch, paint brush and TH ink blending tool
Coloring Medium: Copic and Prismacolor markers

Technique used: Masking

Coloring with Tim Holtz Distressed Inks

Lately, I've been exploring different ways to color images. I've tried both inkpads and reinkers. I tried using SU aquapainter or just plain paint brush. I tried using water and without water while coloring and finally I get the result that I want. Let me show it to you and will let you be the judge... By the way, I like painting the images using plain paint brushes, using reinkers (colors are much vibrant) and no water.

Everyday Button Bits by PTI

I've bought a bunch of  everyday card idea special edition magazines a while back.  most of the designers had been using mostly PTI stamps and there's this particular ones that I just fell in love with.  It's PTI's Everyday Button Bits series and of course, I have to have them. So far I haven't made a bunch of cards yet but here's one for a start.

This is another effort to make a masculine card.  Hope it would pass!

Paper: Unknown patterned papers, GP, Recollection and Bazzil Basics
Stamps: PTI
Inkpads: CTMH and TH distressed inkpad
Tools: EK Success edge punch (I specially love the chain edge punch...) and EK Success  new journaling papershape punch
Embellishment: Buttons from Foof-a-La and half peals

A card and a gift for my DBIL

Here's a card and gift I will be sending my DBIL. Hope he likes it. It was CAS (Clean and Simple). I used the leftover materials after wrapping the gift and came up with a simple manly card. Hope the black tie (bow tie) will emphasize masculinity.

Paper: The Paper Studio, Embassy and DCWV
Tools: EK edge punch and the new EK journaling papershape punches
Embellishment: AC chipboard alpha and punctuation, satin ribbon and Bazzill Basics shape borders

I haven't grasped yet the different possibilities in making a masculine card but I will always keep on trying.  Hope this one would pass...

May is a special month in our family. Not only it's the Mother's Day but it is also our anniversary and my boys birth month. On the crafty side, it is a busy month for me especially with family and friends wedding and baby shower.  So even if its late and  I'm doing my best to be on time to create special cards and some scrapbook pages.

It was hard to let the day go by without without making an LO of me and my forever boyfriend.

Tools: Colorbox Cat's eye chalk inkpad, Tim Holtz distressed ink pads, MM acrylic paint, MS craft edge punch and MS craft punch

Here's the anniversary card I made for my dearest darling husband:

Inkpads: Versamagic, Rubberstampede and Memento

No time or chance to celebrate either the anniversary or Mother's Day.  DH has to go work for another 8days straight, 12hrs/night shift.  I made him a special meal though to take to work and secretly include this card and a love letter with his food.

When he came home at 730AM, he gave me these roses, chocolates, a card and a very nice flower plant as a gift.
Isn't this plant lovely?  Love the sentiments on the card that DH gave me and want to share it with you:

Happy Anniversary Hon....  Love you more than I ever did before...

Mother's Day 3-D cards

Normally I would design and make different cards for those who are dear to me on special days like Mother's Day. But since, my hands are so tied up with so many things, I have to break the rules at least for this occassion. To be honest, I hate mass production but I have no choice. These will be late Mother's Day cards and I made them with so much love and care. Promise I'll try to do better next year.

Happy Mother's Day!

Tonight was very productive. I was able to make two traditional scrapbook layouts. I was in the mood to play with my 7 X 10 pictures...

I used K & Company and The Paper Studio for patterned paper.  Recollection, Embassy, PTI and The Paper Studio for cardstock.  Cricut machine, SU punches and Fiskar corner punch.  Bo Bunny stickers, Prima flowers and crystals, satin ribbon, button, brad, craft thread, are added as embellishments.
