When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

I am Roses - Journal Me This Challenge!

I am joining this month's challenge at I am Roses : Journal Me This!
Here's my take.  The journal will be given to my sister who recently migrated to Canada.  Hope she uses it to document their new life in Canada.
Leftover scrap was made into a mini journal for my daughter.
  • I used DCWV The Colorful Life stack.  Each paper has a mixed media designs. I really wanted to try mixed media but too chicken to make any kind of project.
  • Inside I used a bunch of DCWV patterned paper from Fresh Floral Stack.  I used this stack because they are lightweight paper and not cardstock, which is perfect for journaling.  I cut them at 8x8 sizes.
  • Then I used my paper puncher, WeRMemoryKeeper - The Cinch and attached them using binder spring from the same manufacturer.
  • Once the journal was done, I added embellishment from flowers, to charms to chippies.
See the heart-shaped, twigs and the ferns embellish?  I made them using Martha Stewart silicone clay molds and clay.  I can say that making those clay arts are easy project.  You don't even have to bake the clay and it was I think that most moist clay I have ever played.  Another thumbs-up for MS!
I honestly can say that I had fun designing this journal.  I just can't stop adding embellishments.  I think it would come out better if I did a mixed media art.  Well, maybe next time!

BTW, here's the mini-journal I made for my daughter.  I uses the scraps from my sister's journal and came up with this:
Pretty huh!?  She uses this as her diary...
