Monochromatic Theme

Yippee, Peachy Keen Stamps - DT Tuesday challenge for this week is a sketch with a twist. And guess what's the twist? It's monochromatic theme!  Love it...

 It's time to start playing with Copics again.  Boy, it's been more then 2 months now since I last colored an image for a card.  Well, blame it on my bug machine LOL.

I am using a Sweet Pea Stamp image for this challenge.

 I decided to make one Sepia and one Black and White cards then decide afterwards which one to use as my entry.

This is the Sepia version.

 And this is the black and white version

I opted to use this (black and white) as my entry for the challenge.  My DH and kids voted for this one so I have to go with this.

Mini Scrapbook Album

It's been quite awhile now since I last made a scrapbook page, let alone a scrapbook album.  Looking back couple years ago, I remember myself being the scrapbooker rather than a cardmaker.  But three years ago, I took stamping into a different level and that's when I became a serious cardmaker.  I don't know if it was good or bad.  Since then, I do scrapbook less and less, which I think was a sad matter.  I guess it's because of the instant gratification we got from making cards.  Normally, it will make me at least a day or two just to finish one 12X12 layout while I can finish at least three cards in one night. So today I told myself, enough excuses, I'm making a scrapbook project!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge for this week is to use Paper Doll Dress-Up or Everyday Paper Doll.  You should also incorporate heat or dry embossing in your project.  With this challenge, I took the chance to make a mini-album and I really like it! I was amazed that I was able to finish it within couple hours.

 I used this cowgirl image from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge as focal point of the album cover.

 This is a 6X6 chipboard album.  Binded using Cinch Bindery Tool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 I used Action Wobble for the cowgirl.  I'm loving my "wobbler".
So far this is the third project where I used the wobbler.

 Still amazed I was able to finish this mini-album in one sit.

 I heat embossed all the title page and I also used Spellbinder dies to cut and embossed the frames on the front.

 Hoping I could share with you the cowgirl moving because of the wobbler.

Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday - XOXO

Since Valentines is almost in the air now, this week's challenge at Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday is to make a card that has X's and O's in it.  I decided to use "Boo", the cute little girl in Disney's "Monsters Inc" movie.  Who wouldn't love her?!!  She's super cute and adorable!  Okay, no more babbling, here's my card:

Another Sketch Challenge at Peachy Keen

Like usual I overdid it again last night and finished up three cards! Whew!  But this one really took while since everything just wouldn't work out or maybe I was just tired because it was already 3AM.  I told myself this is just gonna be a quick and easy one but I was wrong.  Before I started making cards last night, I told myself I have to make one that has a moose or a reindeer on it so I could use my Craft Lounge stamps.  I know that it was crazy but the sentiments/joke on the stamps are so cool (sorry if you think it that the joke was corny).  Once in a while it's fun to make a humorous card, with the thoughts that maybe we can lighten up someone's life with that card, right!?

A Lion with a Tiara

Yeah, I just made a card with a lion on it and she has a tiara.  I like it and I hope you do too!  This is my take for Peachy Keen - Let's Face It Friday - Thank You Card Challenge.  The rule is to make a "Thank You card" with the use of Peachy Keen Faces and project must be posted before Jan 20th.
