When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me, Lord." I am a believer that God created each one of us with a unique talent, therefore, use it well to serve Him.

Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday Challenge - Week 3

As I have mentioned earlier, yesterday was a very productive day. I finally finished last night my entry for Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday Challenge - Week 3.  This week's challenge is to create a home decor based on Harvest/Fall theme and should use Peachy Keen Stamps.  I chose paper wreath as my entry for this challenge.  Here are some pics I took:
To get a detailed effect and texture, I dry embossed some of the leaves using Sizzix - Basic Grey Starry Night embossing folder.

Then I inked the leaves to add depth. I love TH distressed inkpads especially for die-cuts. I used 12 different inkpads.
I think, all in all, there was 4 layers of leaves on the wreath.
Love those cutee scarecrow! I used metallic raffia to get a "straw/hay"effect for the hair.
Added bling to the scarecrow. Also used bamboo skewers to make it stand like they were on a stilt. By doing that I didn't have much problem adhering it at the back of the wreath, which was a not-so-sturdy chipboard.
RECIPE:
PAPER: Assorted unknown CS and DP
INKPADS: CTMH (White Daisy); Memento (Tuxedo Black); Tim Holtz Distressed Inkpads (Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, Antique Linen, Black Soot, Wild Honey, Old Paper, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Tea Dye, Waknut Stain, and Rusty Hinge)
TOOLS: Cuttlebug machine, Cricut Expression, Gypsy, Cricut cartridge, Ink blending tool, Sizzix - Basic Grey embossing folder, ATG, lots and lots of pop-dots
CARTRIDGE: Simply Charmed (Scarecrow), George (Circle), Leaves (MS Seasonal Cake, Create-A-Critter, Disney - Mickey & Friends and  Stretch your Imagination)
STAMPS: Peachy Keen - Princess Face Assortment
EMBELLISH: Satin Ribbon, MS large jewels, The Twinery baker's twine, rhinestones and metallic raffia
OTHERS: Bare chipboard sheets, bamboo skewers

Until next time... Thank you for checking out my work and for leaving such wonderful comments.
